What is an USB Relay Controller?

The relay controllers are utilized in electronic and electric equipment. Power meters, uninterrupted power supply systems, power plants, motors, and transistors are some of the equipments where these relay controllers are utilized.

An USB relay controller is a device which opens or closes a switch according to the current flow through a conducting coil. It is an electromagnetic device and the switches don’t come in direct contact with the conducting coil. It controls the power flow in a circuit.

The relay control software works in two modes. When current flows through the electromagnetic coil it entices a magnetic substance which closes the switch and vice-versa when there is no current flowing through the coil. A spring will help in the opening and closing of the switches. The relay will not go into an intermediate stage between on and off. Electronic circuits may be coupled into relays to make them work automatically. The switching procedure will be pre-programmed in a circuit according to the requirement of a specific application. Programmed micro-controllers and logical controllers are utilized in electronic and complex controls. Ladder logic is the main logic utilized in this software.

The relay works mainly on the principle of de-magnetization and magnetization. As current flows through the coil, it creates the magnetic poles in the coil, known as the North Pole and the South Pole. These poles attract a type of armature which will be coupled to a spring. As long as the current is sufficient for the coil, the armature stays attracted to the coil and the switch will remain in the on condition.   There are various aspects that are considered while designing a USB relay controller. The magnetic and conducting properties of the nature and coil of the material are vital aspects. Moreover, the magnitude of the current flow should also be considered. If the current crosses.
